Rosaway is Disco-Jazz duo from Paris, France, blending modern electro-pop with retro grooves and cinematic energy. Their sound is a fusion of French sophistication, neo-disco vibes, and dynamic live  instrumentation, featuring flute, drums, and soulful vocals. The duo consists of Rachel Ombredane, a classically trained flutist and vocalist, and Stéphane "SteF" Avellaneda, an internationally renowned  drummer. Rachel has worked with artists like Ed Sheeran and Jain and has toured the world's biggest venues alongside acclaimed pianist Maksim, captivating audiences across the globe. Meanwhile, SteF has  performed in over 30 countries as the official drummer for Ana Popovic, sharing the stage with legends such as B.B. King and Buddy Guy.

In 2025, Rosaway was considered for a Grammy Award in the Best Alternative Album category, further solidifying their presence in the international music scene. With their unique blend of past and present,  electronic beats and organic grooves, Rosaway is redefining alternative pop with an unmistakable French touch.

Rachel Ombredane holds a degree in Flute Performance, a Diploma in Music Education, and a Master's in Musicology from the Sorbonne in Paris. Trained in classical singing in Paris (state Conservatoire), she  later refined her vocal technique under Vania Boneva (singer with the Paris Opera Choir). Over the years, she developed a warm, smoky timbre that makes her voice instantly recognizable—often compared to  iconic voices such as Whitney Houston for her fire and Sade for her elegance. Far from limiting herself to the classical realm, she has built an international reputation for reinventing the flute’s image—bringing  it into pop, jazz, disco, and funk contexts through electrifying solos, irresistible hooks, and a uniquely modern sound. A passionate explorer of electro-acoustic experimentation, Rachel seamlessly blends her  flute with pedals, loop stations, and effects, creating rich, layered textures that defy traditional boundaries. Her fresh approach has gone viral on social media, earning reposts and praise from music legends  such as CeeLo Green (Gnarls Barkley), Kool & The Gang, and Nile Rodgers, as well as public figures like Shaquille O’Neal and Jennifer Garner. She has been invited on television shows to present her contemporary vision of the flute and interviewed by Rolling Stone for her album Dreamer. Since 2018, Rachel has been the vocalist, flutist, and co-founder of Rosaway, a French disco/jazz/ funk duo known for  transforming the flute into a groovy, crowd-igniting instrument. With infectious riffs and melodically captivating lines, she and drummer Stéphane Avellaneda breathe new life into the instrument’s repertoire,  taking it from conservatories to dance floors around the world.

She brings a distinctive French touch to an English-language repertoire, sometimes blending French and English within the same song. By weaving French lyrics into jazz standards and other classics, she adds a  romantic “French twist” that has become part of her signature charm. Her career spans collaborations with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Jain, and Broken Back, and performances at prestigious venues like the  Zenith in Paris. Internationally, she has toured extensively across Asia, Europe, and the United States, including arena performances
